A Slice of My Life- The Laundry Can Wait

This is what happens when I am too busy to care about laundry. I thought you would all get a kick out of how much laundry needed to be done, folded, and put away. I ended up with 8 loads that I took pretty much one whole day to get done just so I was caught up for the move. I currently have only one load in the laundry basket and am really trying to do one load a day if time permits.

I truly HATE doing laundry normally and being this busy just makes it worse. I hope that you all get a giggle and feel good about not doing your laundry today when you see that it IS normal to have a mess in your house. Especially when you have a family that needs your time and devotion. I really believe that a messy home (not a dirty home) equates a happy family. It sort of says that you are having fun instead of spending all your time cleaning and trying to make it look perfect. Yet, our home is so small that most of the time it IS clean and not this full of laundry. LOL I actually get a little of anxiety when my house is this cluttered. I can only take it for so long and then I have to dig in or I feel I may lose my mind.

The first picture is clean laundry waiting to be folded and put away. It had been here atleast a week of being picked through for clothes to wear. The second picture is the laundry basket over flowing with dirty clothes. It seemed to be half way up to the ceiling. UGH!!!

This is what my studio space looked like before I decided that I really just needed to pack it all up as I really had no time to clean or organize it let alone time to create right now. It was a sad day, but the right decision. Now if we could just get moved into our new home.

I am laundry challenged, too. I completely agree with you on the messy house/happy home mantra. Good to know I'm not alone and it's good to have you back! :-)

I call this "organized clutter"!! With my oldest home for the summer from university my house is looking like this all the time (which reminds me, I have a load of laundry to put in the dryer!!!) ;)

I'd take a picture of my bedroom but I'm not that brave! OMG. The housekeeping can wait sometimes. There's too much in life to enjoy.

I've really, really tried to find some kind of bliss in cleaning but I just haven't yet! I love it when it's done and I feel better but sometimes I just close the door on the room and pretend it's spotless! Voila!

Give Bruno a big hug from me! I wish I could meet him too!
