My First Paycheck

I received my first paycheck from the shop and I sold $75 worth of items in 2 weeks. I so wish that it was in Euros because that would mean I was living in France right now and another of my dreams would have come true. But alas, I am still living in Oregon, USA. LOL I was very excited to see that others enjoyed my items and took a slice home with them. It is sort of scary to put yourself out there and wonder if anyone will even buy anything, or like your style. The owner said that she gets a lot of compliments on my space and the cashiers have all told me how much they love it too. It is a nice feeling when others appreciate your creative style.

The shop by no means will allow me to quit my job, but it will supplement my income and allow me to continue to create. It gives me a reason to enjoy my hobby beyond just making gifts for friends and family. It is sort of a launching point for putting myself out there. I really am enjoying being in the store and having my Etsy shop- (http://tangerinechic.etsy.com/ ). I have met so many wonderful people with the same interests and my world just seems to be a better place than it was 6 months ago. I feel very blessed to have taken this road. Thank you for being a part of my journey.

Thanks ladies! We had the Grand Opening last night and it was packed in the shop. Live music, good eats, sangria and wine. Great turn out. Hopefully it will get our name out there more. One of the great things about our place is that it is right next door to the post office so you need to send a gift to someone it is very easy. Isnt that a great bonus?

I'll get into that this summer, I'm hoping. Etsy looks like a good thing!

Congrats Christina! You deserve it, you create such beautiful things. I'm so glad that you and the shop are doing well. It great to have that kind of venue here, it really is a great way for us little guys to be seen. I can't wait to see what you make next.

Hi Christina, I stopped in Blue Moon and saw your little booth - sooo cute! I love it and everything you've made, and your sign. :) I bought some of your vintage trim, I couldn't pass it up. Your decorated clothespins are really cute too, I've never seen those before. You've done a wonderful job! I'm hoping to get a small space in there soon, probably selling kids stuff and some other things too.

Congratulations!!! I love your blog and Etsy shop. Wish I could go see your real shop. I 'd love to do that, too. I think $75 for 2 weeks is an excellent start!

Come by my blog for a visit! I have 2 graduations this week, but I've been thinking about doing a tag swap and would love to have you join in with us!
